This is my favorite series from the Self-Portrait Station I set up for the reception of the fabulous wedding I captured yesterday.

What a great gathering of people to work with and photograph and they took full advantage of the photo station. You can see many more of these image on my professional facebook page and I'll be posting to my Flickr page shortly as well.

The Self-Portrait Station is definitely one of my favorite new additions to my packages this year. Guests and the bride and groom love them because people let even more of their hair down when no one is on the other side of the lens. There's less inhibitions. It's really wonderful to see what people create.

Jen & Andreas were so wonderful to work with for this engagement session. We met at the Lars Anderson Park outside the Auto Museum in Brookline near where they got engaged, at the Arnold Arboretum park. We met about an hour before dusk and used some of the wonderful old buildings and walls at the Auto Museum for our warm-up photos, then moved on to the Arboretum area and came back to the pond area near the museum for some wonderful mood photography at dusk. Here's just a few pics, I hope you enjoy.

Living in New England there is an off-season for Wedding Photography as one may expect. I photographed a few wonderful winter weddings but also had much more time to work on a lot of my other interests such as gourmet photography, environmental portraits and fine art photographs. Shannon dreamed of having a snowy winter wedding and she definitely got her wish this year with some bitter cold to go along with hers and Luke’s January wedding. So cold we really couldn’t keep her outside for long at all; the snow was so fresh we had the bride and groom stand on my sweater for the shoot outside so they wouldn’t sink in. Here are just a few pics from their beautiful wedding day in Devens, MA.

Gina and her mother did almost entirely all the planning for her amazing wedding in December of 2010. Gina did all her preparations at her mother’s house in Saugus where there just happened to be this amazing bedroom of light and shadow to play with in creating some superb portraits of her.

When I met with Gina & Dante they really impressed upon me their strong desire to have as many natural story telling images of their day as possible, and this was my objective. They were a fantastic stunning couple to work with and I love the way their wedding day unfolded for me to capture. This is just a tiny sampling of their special day with a glamorous stunning reception at the Hyatt Harbor Side near the airport.

I had the pleasure of photographing Ken & Kristen’s engagement session in the old Haymarket area of Boston a couple of months before there wedding. So I got to know them and their style a little better before the big wedding day.

For their special day they placed great emphasis on the group portrait session which they had reserved at the Rhode Island State House. And it really paid off, what an amazing location to shoot inside of on a 33 degree late fall day.

Traci & Ryan chose to have an intimate ceremony and wedding reception at the stunning Fairmont Hotel on Battery Wharf in Boston. It was a bit windy, but just warm enough on this late October day to have their ceremony outside with the Boston harbor in the background. They moved on to some great portraits with friends and family and then a beautiful reception downstairs in the Atrium room of the hotel.

Thao and Michael put together a very unique and stunning wedding day at Glen Magna Farms estate in Danvers, MA on the busiest wedding day of this year, 10/10/10. Thao used her extremely well trained eye, as a pastry chef, to create beautiful table decors and a wonderful combination of colors for her big day. For the bridal party they went with classy yet striking reds, blacks and whites that worked so well during portraits in the matching garden walkway area of the estate. It was a simple outdoor ceremony in Glen Magna Farm’s beautiful garden area with a huge umbrella of Wisteria as their backdrop.

Lindsay & Sean truly put together a dream wedding on Nantucket. They may have had a little help with knowing so many people to work with on the island, after living on Nantucket for more than 10 years now.  Lindsay and Sean both have an amazing eye for colors; both run their own landscaping companies on Nantucket. They planned their wedding for late September this year and went with vibrant fall colors as their theme, bringing together the changing bramble and thicket colors of the early fall colored island. Lindsay and her dear friend Amy put together all the flower arrangements for the day.

Sasha and Geoffrey truly put together an amazing day of celebration for their special wedding day. For a couple that didn't use a coordinator at all, this was the most detailed and beautifully organized wedding day I have perhaps ever had the pleasure to capture. Their wedding was in early September.

A few weekends ago, I photographed a wonderful wedding in which the bride and groom chose to have their reception at the Worcester Art Museum. I had never shot here before but was really excited to use their space and especially their Renaissance Court for some intimate photographs of the couple. All the Museum images were created with a tri-pod and some fairly long exposures. I especially love the two photos of them sitting in front of the painting. Enjoy!!

These are just a few pics from a truly wonderful wedding I captured last weekend. Sasha and Geof really put together an amazing day with a Russian Orthodox ceremony in Ipswich, MA. Then we drove to the Wetlands outside of Ipswich for a great photo session. They put together a stunning reception on Geoffrey's family's farm in Exeter, NH with the amazing arrival of Sasha riding side saddle into the reception.

Adrienne put together her dream wedding at Chatham Bars Inn this July, which is not that hard to do with such an amazing venue and staff. But she really put her spin and style into everything with such elegance and simplicity. From her contemporary designed yet classic curved dress to the Cape Cod classic use of Hydrangeas for her flowers to the adorable color coordination of her 3 flower girls, her bridesmaids and her ring-bearers - everything was perfect.
